Sniff Sniff… no not SIFF but SNIFF as in Ghost Sniffers

Earlier this year I had the honor of working with my sister (Jennifer DiMarco) on her Web Series, Ghost Sniffers. This Series follows Faith Forge (my niece Faith DiMarco) who can SNIFF out GHOSTS. Her brother Maxo (my nephew Max) helps her out with his kind heart and creative ideas. My sister is a Published Author, Director, Producer and an amazing Mom. My niece is type one diabetic and my nephew is autistic. My sister wrote Ghost Sniffers hoping to create a platform for special kids to be role models and heroes. The first few episodes are very funny and introduce a lot of the main characters. After Episode 3 things start to get a little darker and Faith Forge has to battle some pretty intense villains. My husband, Actor, David S. Hogan appears in a few episodes as well. Jennifer holds regional auditions and has already cast tons of local talent. I was thrilled to be cast as Green Dawg alongside my real life best friend, Meg McLynn, who plays Gypsy Star. Together we are GREEN STAR, a hip hop duo with a positive message. We will appear in episode 10, don’t miss it!

Check out the website and watch the episodes that have already posted. You will fall in love with Maxo and cheer on Faith every step of the way. This series has given many kids a voice, and a message that difference is beautiful and is what makes us unique.

Ira Finkelstien’s Christmas in SIFF 2012!!!

I am so proud, humbled and blessed to have worked on such a wonderful film. Ira Finkelstein’s Christmas is a Feature Film that I was cast in and shot last Winter, 2011. It’s all about a happy Hollywood family… Max Finkelstein (David DeLuise) is a hard working producer and director of films that “Make the World You Want To See”. The mom, Rosie Finkelstein (Me), just started up her “Event Planner to the Stars” career and she has a very special first client. Then there is Ira, our son, who only wants ONE thing in the whole wide world… To celebrate Christmas 🙂 One small problem… we are Jewish. Comedy unfolds left and right, Elliott Gould plays Grandpa Finkelstein and TONS of local Seattle Actors fill the rest of the amazing cast. I have never had so much fun on and off set. The Crew was wonderful! And Sue Corcoran is one of the best Directors I have ever work with on stage or screen.

2012 hits and it’s announced that our film is going to be in SIFF!!!! IRA is screening in 3 different venues and 2 of them have SOLD OUT! I  went to the SIFF venue in Everett today to see the film for the second time. I loved it even more! The young talent in this film will make you laugh, cry and probably sing 🙂 I had so many friends come out today to support me and the film. It was nice to be reunited with many of the cast and crew. Sue and I sat together and poked each other in the legs throughout the film, a kind of “We done good” 😉 I have been so busy this year, I was part of a web-series (Ghost Sniffers), I am currently working on an industrial (Quest Diagnostics, see earlier post) and am in rehearsal for my next show (Jesus Hopped the A Train at ACT). So I hate that my web blog has been pretty bare since it first “launched” in February. But a day like today needed to be talked about 🙂

So far, 2012 has certainly been a great artistic year and I can’t wait for the next door to open and for my Director to yell ACTION!

It’s been a Quest!

I have had Topo Swope Talent as an agent for over 10 years. Topo represents me for film, commercial, radio and industrial work. So when I am not on stage doing a show, I am fortunate to be able to perform in these other mediums. I was recently cast in an on-going industrial for Quest Diagnostics. It has been an amazing experience! Unlike other industrials/training videos, Quest has been doing a series for years. I was cast in the role of Christine, who you see diagnosed with Cancer (based on a true story). This role has been an emotional rollercoaster to play and a fulfilling challenge. I am so thankful to tell this story and be part of this amazing team of people.

Super Heroes Unite!

Today we had our meet and greet for Team of Heroes: Behind Closed Doors, my next production.

This show is the prequel to Team of Heroes’ first installation, Alecto, which was produced in 2010.

I will be taking over the role of the Super Heroes’ Manager, Melody Knox.

Looking forward to working with this talented team and with Annex Theater once again.

Be ready for some Supremely Heroic Surprises!

My First Post!

Thank you for visiting my new site!

Tonight, we had a fantastic performance of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead at Seattle Public Theater! We played to a standing room only crowd of invigorated Seattle theater goers. It is wonderful to be a part of a great production in within such a supportive community. If you have not seen the show, we have two more weeks after this weekend!
